Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to reservations and stays at The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast, Boracay.

Booking & payment

A 50% advance payment confirms a direct reservation. The balance is settled on arrival.

Check-in & check-out

Check-in from 2:00 PM, check-out by 12:00 noon. Early or late times are subject to availability.

Cancellation

Free to cancel up to one day before arrival. Deposits are non-refundable but can be rebooked within a year.

These Terms & Conditions apply to reservations and stays at The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast, Boracay. By making a reservation, the guest acknowledges and agrees to the terms set out below.

Reservations & booking confirmation

  • All reservations are subject to availability.
  • Direct reservations are confirmed upon receipt of the required 50% advance payment.
  • Guests are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when making a reservation.
  • Reservations may be made directly with the hotel, through the hotel’s website, or through authorized third-party booking platforms.
  • For direct bookings, a confirmation will be provided once the required advance payment has been successfully received.
  • If the required advance payment is not received within 72 hours of making the reservation, the hotel reserves the right to release the booking without further obligation.

Rates & payments

  • All room rates are quoted in Philippine Pesos (PHP) unless otherwise stated.
  • Room rates are dynamic and may vary according to seasonality, demand, room type, stay dates, occupancy, promotions, and applicable booking conditions.
  • For direct bookings, applicable taxes and fees are included in the published rate unless otherwise indicated at the time of booking.
  • Reservations made through third-party booking platforms are subject to the rates, inclusions, payment conditions, taxes, and fees displayed by the applicable platform. Additional charges may apply where specified.
  • A 50% advance payment is required to confirm a direct reservation.
  • The remaining balance must be settled upon arrival, unless otherwise agreed or specified in the booking conditions.
  • Any bank, payment gateway, currency conversion, or third-party transaction charges, where applicable, may be borne by the guest.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Credit or debit card
  • Online bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • GCash
  • Maya
  • QR Ph
  • Bitcoin via the Lightning Network / Wallet of Satoshi, when available

Check-in & check-out

  • Standard check-in2:00 PM
  • Standard check-out12:00 noon
  • Early check-in is subject to room availability and operational requirements and can only be confirmed upon arrival at the property.
  • Late check-out may be available for an additional fee and is subject to availability and room turnover requirements.
  • Early check-in and late check-out cannot be guaranteed in advance unless specifically confirmed in writing by the hotel.
  • Guests checking out before 6:00 AM are requested to settle any outstanding balance by 9:00 PM on the previous evening.
  • Guests arriving after regular reception hours may be assisted by the hotel’s night-duty security personnel.
  • Guests are encouraged to advise the hotel in advance of late arrivals.

Cancellation, rebooking & no-show policy

Direct bookings

  • Cancellation is free of additional cancellation charges when made at least one (1) day before the scheduled arrival date.
  • Advance payments and deposits already received are non-refundable.
  • Instead of receiving a refund, guests may request to apply their deposit toward a rebooked stay within one (1) year from the original stay date.
  • A reservation may be rebooked up to a maximum of three (3) times.
  • Rebooked stays remain subject to room availability, applicable rates, and any rate difference for the new dates.
  • For cancellations made on the scheduled day of arrival, the hotel will retain the deposit or charge 50% of the total stay, whichever amount is higher.
  • Guests who fail to arrive without notifying the hotel may be treated as a no-show, and applicable cancellation charges may be imposed.
  • Guests are encouraged to notify the hotel as soon as possible if their travel plans change.

Third-party bookings

Reservations made through online travel agencies or other third-party booking platforms are subject to the cancellation, modification, refund, and no-show conditions stated on the applicable booking confirmation. Guests should contact the relevant booking platform when changes must be processed through that platform.

The hotel’s current room configurations and occupancy limits are as follows:

  • Guests must comply with the maximum occupancy applicable to their booked room type.
  • The hotel reserves the right to refuse additional occupants when the maximum permitted occupancy has been reached.
  • Additional guest and extra-bed charges, where applicable, will be based on the specific room type and booking conditions.
  • Children are subject to the applicable child and occupancy policy for the selected room.
  • Dormitory accommodation may be sold on a per-bed basis rather than as an entire room, depending on the applicable booking arrangement.
  • Room configurations and inventory may be adjusted by the hotel from time to time without affecting confirmed reservations.

Special requests

  • Special requests may include early check-in, late check-out, preferred room location, bed configuration, pet arrangements, and other requirements.
  • The hotel will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requests but cannot guarantee them unless specifically confirmed by the hotel.
  • Certain requests may incur additional charges.
  • Guests with requirements that are essential to their stay are encouraged to contact the hotel before confirming their reservation.

Luggage storage

  • Complimentary luggage storage is available to registered guests arriving before check-in or departing after check-out, provided the luggage is collected on the same day.
  • Luggage stored for more than 24 hours may be subject to a daily storage fee per item.
  • Guests should coordinate luggage storage and collection with the Front Desk.
  • Guests are advised not to leave cash, passports, jewelry, electronics, or other valuables in stored luggage.
  • The hotel may decline to store oversized, hazardous, prohibited, perishable, or inadequately secured items.

Hotel facilities & services

  • Hotel facilities and services are subject to availability and applicable operating schedules.
  • Certain facilities, amenities, or services may temporarily be unavailable due to maintenance, repairs, weather conditions, operational requirements, government restrictions, safety considerations, or circumstances beyond the hotel’s reasonable control.
  • Operating hours and availability of facilities may change when reasonably necessary.

Guest conduct & responsibility

  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward other guests, hotel employees, neighboring properties, and members of the community.
  • Guests must comply with hotel rules, safety requirements, and reasonable instructions issued by hotel personnel.
  • Excessive noise, threatening or abusive behavior, illegal activity, deliberate property damage, or conduct that materially disrupts other guests or hotel operations may result in appropriate action by management.
  • Where circumstances warrant, the hotel reserves the right to require a guest to leave the property, subject to applicable law.
  • Guests may be held responsible for damage, loss, excessive cleaning, missing hotel property, or other costs caused by themselves, their visitors, pets, or members of their party.
  • Any applicable charges may be added to the guest’s account.

Pet policy

The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast welcomes pets subject to the following requirements:

  • Dogs are welcome to stay in guest rooms with their owners.
  • Service dogs are welcome.
  • Cats may also be accommodated subject to the hotel’s applicable pet requirements.
  • Guests must present proof of current rabies vaccination upon check-in.
  • A suitable pet carrier or crate must be available when required.
  • Pets must not be left unattended in guest rooms.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash and appropriately supervised while moving through applicable areas of the property.
  • A maximum of two (2) dogs per room is permitted.
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
  • If a suitable carrier or crate is not available, the hotel may require a PHP 2,000 pet deposit to cover potential damage.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage, excessive cleaning requirements, injury, or disturbance caused by their pets.
  • Pet owners are responsible for ensuring their pets do not create excessive noise or otherwise materially disturb other guests.
  • The hotel reserves the right to take reasonable measures where a pet presents a safety, hygiene, or serious disturbance concern.

Identification & security

  • Guests may be required to present a valid government-issued identification document and their booking confirmation upon check-in.
  • The hotel may verify the identity of the person responsible for the reservation or payment where reasonably necessary.
  • No standard security deposit is required unless otherwise stated in the applicable booking conditions or hotel policies.
  • A deposit may be required under specific circumstances, including those provided under the hotel’s Pet Policy.

Data privacy

The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast respects the privacy of its guests and processes personal information in accordance with its applicable Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws.

Information collected may include

  • Guest names and contact information
  • Reservation and stay information
  • Payment and transaction information
  • Special requests
  • Guest communications
  • Website usage and related technical information

Personal information may be used for

  • Managing reservations and stays
  • Communicating with guests
  • Processing payments
  • Providing guest support
  • Maintaining and improving the hotel’s website and services
  • Marketing and advertising, where permitted
  • Analytics and performance measurement
  • Fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance
  • The hotel may use cookies, analytics services, Google Ads technologies, and similar tools for website functionality, analytics, advertising, and performance measurement.
  • Guest information may be shared where reasonably necessary with service providers including payment processors, reservation and property-management systems, website providers, email service providers, booking platforms, technology providers, and advertising or analytics partners.
  • Access to guest information within the hotel is limited to personnel who reasonably require the information to perform their duties.
  • Guests may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting info@lazydogboracay.com.
  • Guests may also request deletion of eligible personal information, subject to applicable legal, accounting, operational, security, dispute-resolution, and record-retention requirements.
  • The hotel does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without appropriate authorization.

Force majeure & events beyond the hotel’s control

The hotel shall not be responsible for failure or delay in providing services where caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances may include, without limitation:

  • Typhoons, severe weather, flooding, earthquakes, or other natural disasters
  • Government restrictions or emergency measures
  • Transportation or ferry disruptions
  • Utility or telecommunications failures beyond the hotel’s reasonable control
  • Fire or other emergencies
  • Public health emergencies
  • Civil disturbances
  • Other unforeseen events outside the hotel’s reasonable control

Where such circumstances affect a confirmed reservation, the hotel will make reasonable efforts to assist the guest in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and circumstances.

Third-party bookings

  • Reservations made through online travel agencies or other third-party platforms may be subject to additional or different payment, amendment, cancellation, refund, promotional, and booking conditions.
  • Where a third-party platform’s booking conditions apply to a particular reservation, those conditions should be read together with the hotel’s general property policies.
  • Any modification or cancellation that is required to be processed through the original booking platform must be requested through that platform.

Changes to these Terms & Conditions

  • The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions when reasonably necessary.
  • The applicable booking terms are generally those presented or communicated to the guest at the time the reservation is confirmed, unless a change is required by applicable law or regulation.
  • Updates to the hotel’s Privacy Policy and other property policies may be published separately on the hotel’s website.
